ZLL Activities Suspended Until May 11

This is the text from an email message from ZLL Board President Chad Antcliff regarding the 2020 ZLL Spring Rec Baseball and Softball Seasons which was sent to all ZLL families:

Hello ZLL Families!

I hope this finds you all safe and healthy.  I’m sure some of you feel like me, that the last few days have felt like weeks or even months.   The extraordinary times we are currently living have had a profound impact on us all and forced many changes to our daily lives.  I should be writing in preparation for official practices starting and details on opening day, however our current situation continues to put our season on hold.

The ZLL Board decided a few days ago to suspend our season until April 6th.  After further developments since that announcement, including the suspension of school until May 1, ZLL will follow the Little League International recommendation of suspending activities until May 11th.  This includes any in-person activities.  We are currently working through season options upon its hopeful return.  As the coming days begin to shed light on what the foreseeable future holds, we will adapt and determine our direction.  Our goal remains to provide a season of baseball and softball for our young people.

We will continue to monitor developments and keep you all updated.  In the mean-time, play catch with your son or daughter or throw them some pitches, it will provide a great break from the e-learning activities.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.  Stay safe, stay health and practice social distancing!

Thank you,

Chad Antcliff

ZLL President
