The Jack Connor Sportsmanship Award is given each year to one baseball and one softball player from ZLL’s rec league programs. Recipients of the award exhibit exemplary sportsmanship, a coachable attitude, team leadership, and a love for the game. The award is named in memory of Jack Connor, a long-time ZLL player whose infectious smile, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship captured the essence of a Little League player.
Nominations for the award open in the spring and are announced at the ZLL Closing Ceremonies at the conclusion of the ZLL Spring Rec season.
