Eugenio and Price Earn ZLL Scholarships

Congratulations to Chuck Keraga Scholarship recipient Tate Eugenio and Judy Veatch Memorial Scholarship recipient Kaitlyn Price for earning these prestigious awards.

The recipients were presented their awards on May 19, 2020 at the “virtual” ZCHS Senior Honors Night by Athletic Director Greg Schellhase. A video of the presentation can be viewed below.

These scholarships are awarded each year to ZCHS seniors who played in Zionsville Little League.  The Keraga Scholarship is awarded to a former ZLL baseball player and the Veatch Scholarship is awarded to a former ZLL softball player.  Each scholarship is valued at $500 and is based on the applicant’s involvement in ZLL, their academic performance, and extra curricular activities.  Each applicant must also write an essay about how their experiences in Zionsville Little League helped prepare them for college, a professional career, and family life.

These scholarships were begun to honor the memory of longtime ZLL volunteers Chuck Keraga and Judy Veatch.  More information about Chuck, Judy, and these scholarships can be viewed here.

Tate is the son of Randy and Angie Eugenio. While in high school, Tate was on the ZCHS Tennis team and was active in ZSI Combo Band, National Honors Society, and Future Problem Solvers. He plans to attend Purdue University.

Kaitlyn is the daughter of Tom and Kelly Price. During her years at ZCHS, Kaitlyn was involved in the Spring Plays, Chamber Choir, and Spanish Honor Society. She served as an Eagle Kick-off Mentor and was also a manager for the ZCHS baseball team. She also plans to attend Purdue University.
