2026 Spring Season Essential Information

Registration for the 2026 ZLL Spring Season is now open! We look forward to seeing you and your kids down at Lions’ Park for a fun-filled spring of baseball and softball.

We encourage you to register as soon as possible. We’ve had record numbers of registrations so far and expect to fill up many age groups, particularly the younger ages. In past years, we’ve filled up by the end of February and this year we may fill up sooner.

Here’s some key dates for you to know about the 2026 Spring Season:

  • Registration closes when age group fills up
  • March 8 – Team rosters are published in TeamSnap
  • April 6 to April 18 – Team practices (except Tee Ball)
  • April 11 & April 18 – Team picture days
  • April 18 – Tee Ball begins
    • Tee Ball is a once per week activity, typically on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons
  • April 20 – Baseball and Softball games begin
    • Typically 2 games per week, one on weekday evenings and one on weekend
  • May 22 – May 25 – No practices or games (Memorial Day weekend)
  • June 6 – June 16 – Baseball and Softball division tournament (except Tee Ball)
  • June 13/14 – Last weekend for Tee Ball
  • June 20 – All-Star Saturday (for nominated players)

Uniforms and Equipment

Families are expected to provide the following equipment and uniform elements for their players

  • Batting helmet
  • Bat
    • For baseball, the bat must have the USA Baseball/Little League Baseball label. Wooden bats are also allowed. Other bats will not be allowed.
    • For softball, no labels are needed.
  • Glove
  • For softball, fielder’s masks
  • Black belt
  • Gray pants
  • Black socks

What is my child’s age for Little League?

Your child will be automatically assigned to a Tee Ball, Baseball, or Softball division based on their “Little League Age”. The age requirements are different for baseball and softball.

Softball Age requirements:
  • If your child is 4 on or before August 31, 2026, they are eligible for Tee Ball Softball.
  • If your child is 6 on or before December 31, 2025, they are eligible for Minors Softball.
  • If your child turns 13 on or before December 31, 2025, they are no longer eligible for softball.

Baseball Age requirements:
  • If your child is 4 on or before August 31, 2026, they are eligible for Tee Ball Baseball.
  • If your child is 6 on or before August 31, 2026, they are eligible for Minors Baseball.
  • If your child turns 13 on or before August 31, 2026, they are no longer eligible for baseball.
