The Daahl Roofing Brewers ended their sensational run in the District 8 Keraga Cup tournament with a 6-2 loss to the Brownsburg Dodgers in the championship game.  The loss ended the Brewers run of five straight wins to reach the championship match, which was held at Arbuckle Park in Brownsburg.

Brownsburg jumped to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Brewers showed their resolve by charging back with two runs of their own in the bottom of the first inning.  Unfortunately, those first-inning runs were all the Brewers could muster against outstanding pitching by the Dodgers.  The game remained 3-2 through the first three innings, but Brownsburg added additional runs late in the game to seal the win.

Reaching the Cup finals continues ZLL’s success in the Keraga Cup.  In 2012, the ZLL Athletics won the Keraga Cup in an 11 inning battle that ended with a walk-off grand slam home run.
