The weather outside may not be showing signs of Spring yet, but it’s just around the corner. The arrival of Spring means it’s time to get busy with Zionsville Little League!
One of our first activities of the year are the Field Maintenance Days. Fall and Winter can be rough on our baseball fields, and so we need a total community effort to get the fields ready for Spring practices and games. The flood in Lion’s Park in January left us with a little more to clean up. In addition, we’ve got fences to install and weed removal from the infields to address. Help get the 2013 season off to a great start by coming to the park on Field Maintenance Day to spruce up our beautiful park!
Even if you can come down only for an hour, you’ll be a big help. Bring your kids, especially the kids who play in ZLL. Participating in this event helps foster the great sense of community that Zionsville Little League represents.
We have three Field Maintenance Days scheduled this Spring. Weather permitting, here’s the schedule:
- Saturday March 9: 8 am to 1 pm (this is the most important date – cleaning up, installing fences, etc.)
- Saturday March 15: 8 am to 1 pm
- Saturday April 13: 8 am to 1 pm (final prep before Opening Night).
In the event of bad weather that causes us to postpone a Field Maintenance Day, we will post the news on our Twitter feed, Facebook page, and the ZLL web site.
If you would like to Pitch In for Field Maintenance Day or have a question about it, please send a note to Randy Judd (randy@bonedryroofing.com) or Steve Connor (Steveconnor25@aol.com).
Thank you for your support,
