The Zionsville Little League Majors Girls Softball team claimed the District 8 championship on Sunday and now advance to the State Tournament in South Bend.

The Eagles defeated Eagle Creek by a score of 11-1.  Eagles were led in pitching  by Sydney Fisher, Megan Wagner and Lucy Garrett throughout the tournament.  The Eagles hitting was strong and had many players with multi hit games.  The Team team averaged 15 runs per game.  Tight defense also played an important role for the Eagles – holding the opponents to 1 run a game.
