ZLL is pleased to offer a variety of programs for baseball and softball players this fall at Lions’ Park. If your kids still have baseball fever, then we have a program for you. In brief, ZLL will offer five different programs, all which are described in more detail below.
- A Fall Baseball Rec league consisting of 10 games starting in mid-September through late October ($75 per player).
- A series of four baseball Skills and Drills clinics on Friday evenings ($10 per clinic. Two free clinics for any players who played in Spring and Fall Ball).
- A series of softball skills development programs (details still under development)
- A two-day baseball/softball camp run by the nationally recognized Doyle Academy on Saturday September 28 and Sunday September 29 ($85 if registered before 9/20/2013, $105 after 9/20).
- A coaches’ clinic with instruction by the Doyle Academy on Saturday September 28 ($25).

Fall Baseball Rec League
Fall Baseball is open to all baseball players that were considered ages 6-13 by the Little League International cutoff date of April 30th. (ie, your player was 9 years old on April 30th, then he/she would play in the 8/9 year old age group.) All players are welcome regardless of participation in the Spring season. Please inform friends and family members, that may not have participated in the spring, of this opportunity to play baseball at Lions Park this fall.
Evaluations will be held Friday and Saturday, September 13th from 5:30 to 7:30 and Saturday September 14th from 9 am to 1 pm. These evaluations will be used to assign balanced teams for the fall season.
The schedule will consist of 10 games over six weeks, beginning September 21 and ending October 26th. There will generally be one weeknight game and one Saturday game per week. No games over Fall Break.
Fall Ball will include the following divisions:
- 6-7 coach pitch
- 8-9 player pitch
- 10-11 player pitch
- 12-13 50/70 player pitch
Skills and Drills Baseball Clinics
Zionsville LL will also be offering skills sessions on the following Fridays for $10 per session:
- Sept 20th (Pitching/Catching)
- October 4th (Infield)
- October 11th (Hitting)
- October 25th (Outfield).
Skills sessions will take place from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Pre-payment for these skills session will occur through the online registration. Those players that are signing up for Fall ball and participated in the Spring 2013 rec season will be provided 2 free skills sessions. Registrants that indicate participation in the 2013 rec season during the registration process will be crossed check with 2013 registration list.
Doyle Academy Baseball/Softball Camp
ZLL is partnering with the nationally recognized Doyle Baseball Academy to provide a coaching clinic and baseball/softball camp the weekend of September 28/29th at Lions Park. The coaching clinic will take place on Saturday the 28th from 8am to 11am and will cost $25. The baseball clinic will take place Saturday from Noon to 5pm and Sunday from 1pm to 6pm, and will cost $85. Doyle Baseball Academy requires a late fee of $20 be assessed if registering for the baseball clinic after Saturday, September 21st.
