Umpire training for the 2013 ZLL season begins March 25!
Training is required to umpire in Zionsville Little League. A prospective umpire must attend one rules clinic and one mechanics clinic each year. Please bring a note pad and paper. The clinic schedule is listed below.
Also, each youth umpire must have a completed waiver form on file each year. Please bring completed waiver form to the clinic you attend.
A baseball/softball rules exam will be required for each new youth umpiring for their first season. New umpires must successfully complete the exam at an 80% or level higher in order to umpire for the upcoming season. The rules exam will be held at the end of the rules clinic and completing the exam will take approximately 30 minutes. The rules review portion of the clinic will end at 8:00 pm for all experienced umpires and 8:30 or upon completion of rules exam for new umpires.
Rules Clinic – must attend one
- Monday March 25 @ 7 pm – Lion’s Club Shelterhouse; or
- Monday April 8 @ 7 pm – Lion’s Club Shelterhouse
Mechanics Clinics – must attend one
- Friday April 12 @ 6 pm – Lion’s Park Gazebo
- Monday April 15 @ 6 pm – Lion’s Park Gazebo
