Documentation requirements for ZLL evaluations

Documentation requirements for player evaluations

Our player pitch divisions (50/70 baseball, Majors baseball, Majors softball, Minors baseball, and Minors softball) will conduct evaluations February 1 through February 8.  Our Rookie (coach pitch) divisions conduct evaluations on Saturday March 1.

In order for your child to participate in evaluations, you must bring the following proof of age and residency documents to the evaluation:

  • An original of the child’s birth certificate.  ZLL will make a photo copy.
  • Proof of residency or private school attendance within the ZLL boundaries (same as ZCS boundaries).  A printout of the most recent report card is recommended as the easiest way to demonstrate this requirement.  ZLL will also make a photo copy of this documentation.
    • If you choose other proof of residency beside the school report card, you must provide three items, such as driver’s license, vehicle registration, utility bills, voter registration, financial statement.
  • A completed Little League medical release form

Players will not be allowed to evaluate without these documents.  These documents are required by Little League International, of which ZLL is a chartered member.

Don’t forget to have your kids wear gym shoes and comfortable clothes.  Please bring your gloves, bats, and helmets, too.

If you have questions about the residency requirements or documentation requirements, please contact Ben McAfee, ZLL Player Agent, at playeragent@zionsvillelittleleague.org.
